How do I close my account? (web)

Once the account is closed, the account will be permanently closed and can't be retrieved.
Note: after closing your account, there's a 30-day cooling period. You won't be able to reuse the same phone number, email, or identity information to create a new account during this time.
Getting started
Log in to your account at okx.com and go to the Security center page (Profile icon > Security)
Find Manage account on the Security page, select Close account

3. Closing your account is permanent and irreversible.
If you wish to keep using your account, select Keep account
If you still want to close your account, select Close account
4. Select Reason to close account
Instead of closing your account, you can also select to:
Freeze account
Migrate account
View tutorials
Reason to close account page
5. Select Continue to close if you still want to close
6. Select I understand after checking what'll happen to Your account, Your personal information, and Your orders after closing your account and select Next
Read the information about what'll happen after you close your account
7. Review your account assets in Trading, Grow, OKX account balance, Web3 wallet balance (if your wallet is connected to your exchange account), untradable assets, and select Continue
8. Close account after your reconfirmation
9. Get SMS/email and Authentication code and Continue to close the account
Note: it's required to bind with an authentication app in your account before closing it
Why can't I close my account?
I still have a balance in my account
Remember to withdraw your remaining balance before you proceed to close your account.
What if I have a small balance I can't clear?
If you have a small remaining balance that can't be withdrawn or converted, contact OKX Assistant for help. Once resolved, you can return to the account closure steps above.Note: forfeiting your balance is permanent. Once cleared, those assets can't be recovered.
