In January I will be launching season 17 of Bitcoin Takeover podcast
and I want to undo some of the damage that toxic bitcoin maximalism has done over the years
by acknowledging the merits of projects that aren’t scams & do great research & development for a cypherpunk future
I’m thinking about picking the 4 areas where Bitcoin needs to improve: scaling, privacy, contracts & quantum resistance
Pick a good project from each category (for example: Kaspa, Zcash, Ergo, Quantus), mention what’s great about each one of them and encourage people to try the tech
Maybe also do some giveaways so listeners can get their hands on some coins that they can use (DM me for giveaway partnerships).
Ultimately, the goal is to educate people about the future of sovereign money. Avoid a dogmatic approach and choose the practical path instead.
Maybe one day Bitcoin will include everything. Maybe we will have a multi-chain world. What’s important is that we prepare for the upcoming challenges and learn to distinguish between scams and genuinely interesting tech.
